Terrorism is not from Islam!
‘They held the boy and convened a gathering of other extremist fellows over there’ and ‘some of their leader delivered a speech mainly consisting of the abusive and filthy stuff, “your mother had also probably been going out with unknown people, and you might still have been remained silent and indifferent over that!’’, The extremist leader blasted the caustic words off his cruel mouth, “.. and your are really shameless, because after listening so much, still your eyes have got no tears!”
I don’t know which kind of Islam they want to implement. There is no compulsion in Islam. Islam gives a complete government and social setup which is well balanced, peaceful and natural. The disarrayed talibanized fractions like Alqaeda or whatever are ignorant even of the basic teachings of Islam. These people are tyrannical and against the basic values of Islam.Rather I should say they are pursuing some hidden political agenda. These people seem to be living in some primitive forms of ignorance.
On the other hand, Islamic law is very advanced and balanced in its every sense. Islamic law differentiates between sin and crime. Crimes are punishable depending on there nature. But Sin is a thing between man and his God. No one has right to peep into individual’s private life if it is secret, and not infringing any right or law, no matter whether it being fraught with sins or not. Anyhow, if he has committed some crime either by infringing the state law or by infringing other’s right etc, then, the process of systematic deliverance of justice will come into action.
State plays an essential role in this systematic process.
Firstly, it is right of only the state to administer the system of administering justice, not some fractions. If small lawless groups try to implement their self courts in the society, it would lead to great social disorder.
Secondly, under Islamic law, the state is bound to keep running the legal proceedings in courts. Government or state ruling party is not superior to the Law, because basic values of Right and Law have been defined. For example, killing innocents is an ultimate crime, and it can never be ratified by passing a bill in the parliament or by majority will. Even a head of state will be punished like every other convict, if he has murdered some innocent.
A head of state can come under the process legal proceeding as a convict. So, one can say, besides differentiation between Executive and Judiciary, there is also equality between executives and subjects in the eyes of law.
Now we discuss about the process through which justice is conveyed to the subjects.
Let’s take the example of adultery, which is the sex with woman except wife, is a sin and crime in Islamic law. This crime can cause of social disorder and can cause death of many emotions and rights. So Islam protests against it as a sin, and administers punishment on it as a crime. The punishment is death penalty.
Listening about the death penalty runs many cold sensations through the bones of the listener who has less accustomed to philosophy and systematic process of its administration.
For example, A accuses B & C of adultery. Now A must bring 4 witnesses to prove it, who had been present at the time of adultery and saw the adultery clearly. If A fails to bring 4, then he will be punished himself with 80 lashes, for false accusation.
Secondly, Even if he still gets success in bringing 3 witnesses, still he will be punished with 80 lashes, because adultery is not still proved!
Thirdly, if he brings 4 witnesses, then the statement of all fours must be same. If there come even a slight difference in their statement before the court, then adultery still remains unproved, and the accuser is punished for false accusation.
Fourthly, if A brings a video recording of B & C’s adultery, it also can not be taken a proof of adultery, because strictly 4 witnesses must be present there for proving adultery ( as an requirement of Allah). So, in this case, accuser will again be punished for false accusation against B & C. "Sattar-ul-Uyub" ("Who put veils on the one's defects or shortcomings", to save one from the dishonour and stigmatization in the society) is an attribute of Allah, and also is "Ghaffar-uz-Zunub" (Who forgives from sins).
Fifthly, if B & C had really committed adultery in reality, but it could not proven in the court (i.e. as in above cases, because of insufficiency of evidence or ambiguity), then they will be acquitted by the court honorably. However, they can be punished by Allah in hereafter, but no one has any right to punish them.
If some one did adultery, he is legally not bound to admit it. Still he has a way, just to cry and repent, and ask Allah for forgiveness, and promise in his heart never do it again, and also if he inflicted any wrong to someone by his sin, then he should try to repair the loss by proper way. Anyway, God may forgive sins because of His Ever Flowing Mercy.
During the lifetime of Holy Muhammad (Peace be upon him) in the Islamic state, we see that in only 1 case, the punishment of adultery was given. And in this case, the person had himself admitted his crime. (That man came to The Last Prophet Muhammad, and admitted his sin. Holy Prophet asked him 3 times again and again. In my humble opinion, maybe asked again in a hope that maybe he should change his statement and escape the punishment. Please see correct the details yourself).
From this example, you can see how much lenient, natural, systematic, balanced and flexible system of delivering justice Islam has. It has really both spiritual and material prospects for the humanity. I am really very impressed by this fact, that Islamic Law is diligent, active and flexible in its sense. Because law must also be stringent in its tone and administration to eradicate injustices and evils by suppressing grave crimes, but also it should have enough proper space to let the human society breathe in it.
But tell me, who these terrorists are, being a major cause of suffocation for the humanity? Because there seems no reasonable relation in between there mentally retarded backwards and the most advanced balanced system of Islamic Values. So, it is settled, that they are not representative of Islam. These people can be better studied under social sciences, as a major social disorder. You can find then in every country, every century and every religion. Another question arises in my mind, should political science differentiate them as one of the ‘pressure groups’ of intrastate as well as interstate politics?
Various religions came in this world either as being sent by God through his Prophets or as revolutions to harmonize the humanity with truth and well-being. But there had been always present the people who RELIGIONIZED the religion, and made it a ‘7th’ pillar of the state. This 7th pillar had become a proper institution, well equipped with religious bureaucrats, material, special colors and emblems, propaganda. And its main function was to consolidate the nation or majority or the ruling class, and to its main way of function was through controlling the human psychology by using religious apprehensions. Hatred came flourished as a by-product of this 7th pillar, and it further deteriorated and its different results and remainder can be seen now in every society of our modern world. In my opinion, it is nothing more than dark stages of ignorance merely.
Consider the example of Muslim Taliban of West Pakistani Province and Hindu Taliban of India. Both declare their relation to two different religions, but their activity, functioning, style, terrorism is same. Both groups as a protest attack on the things which seem them contrary to their customs. Like a call of the past from the conversationalists!
This point can not be neglected, that may be these people are the disappointed class, which were bothered by changes, events, mishaps, and poverty, so, now their minds can not be able to sustain or accept any cultural shock in the society, whether positive or negative. And they believe that going back to the traditions may be solution of their life troubles. So, they tend to the ‘Customs’!
Hindu Taliban of India usually comes into actions against valentines’ days celebrators, because it is a non-Indian thing to them. Back into the few years ago, we can trace there activities to be very limited as sending cow-urine to film actresses some years ago, but now they have become brave enough to conduct organized attacks over clubs and bars in India.
Similarly, Muslim Taliban very popular for their coercive activities, mostly belongs to the Pashtun race. And customs of this race retained some Islamic rituals, because of being in the centuries long lap of historical Muslim rule over there area. Although they are claim to be Muslim. They wear Islamic style turban, or caps very strictly as an essential thing of Pashtun tribal culture, not as an Islamic ritual (Because wearing turban is not a binding in Islam). These talibans also killed other muslims for keeping differences from their agenda. (Please see example of Pir Sami's death, and the hanging of his dead body) So, we should differentiate between custom and religion!
The word Taliban was wrongly patched on Islam (religion)... in fact it has nothing to do with any religion, for being against the basic essence of religion, which requires peace promotion and organization. So, it is purely a secular phenomenon, which has strong connections with poverty, ignorance and tyranny. There is a major need to differentiate the terrorism from religion and study it under separate field of Social Science. It can help us eradicate a big trouble, and make the world peaceful and full of love!
