Extreme Home Maker....Bathroom Edition
We were "kid-less" all this weekend.
Amanda and a girl from school spent the weekend in Moncton for a trade show and Stephanie was hanging out with her boyfriend and his family.
This never happens and we had no idea what to do with ourselves,so when the kids are away their father will play:)
I had lots of stuff planned that I wanted to do.
Like stitch a big part of the weekend, take family photos for a lady from work and there is always the big pile of laundry and housework that had to be done.
As I have blogged before Wade has decided to do some changes to our bathroom-first the flush and then the tile on the floor and now the wall color...
I think..no I know my husband needs a hobby...
Let me put it this way...he will never ever pick out colors again.
Now don't ask me why he wanted to paint because there was nothing wrong with the color to start with.
We headed off to Walmart and he saw the mis-tinted paint and thought ..Hey this would be a great color to put in the bathroom-
I took one look at it and told him that it was terrible and I didn't want it and that maybe he should reconsider but nope, his mind was made up..and home it came.
Later on yesterday afternoon after shooting some family photos for a friend I wasn't surprised to see it done.
How can I describe the color...it is kind of a dark blue/green/gray color that up close kind of looks like a chalk board...
I had nothing to do with it..
so now I have white tub/gray toilet and a yellow sink..new brown tile and chalk board colored walls...can we say hideous......but you can decide for yourself...
oh and the tacky things on the wall are all his idea....
I did get a bit of stitching done on Natasha's stocking.
I had to run to Micheal's and get some more floss.
They are getting rid of all their Halloween stuff and starting to get in their Christmas decorations..the ones I saw were so pretty but I will wait until they get more before going up again.
I do know that soon have to go through my finished projects to make sure I have enough Christmas ornaments stitched for this year.
I did a bunch early in the year but I have a feeling I might be a couple short..There are a few in the new ornament magazine that I would love to stitch.
I think my favorite is the redwork snowman..he is so cute:)
I just might make that for myself this year...
